It’s Always Somethin’

Life would be boring if everything came easily. Unfortunately, my life gets interesting at the most inopportune times, like now.

Trying to maintain a Blog while on the road has been a challenge. The biggest obstacles are not having a power source to keep my computer charged, not having any signal to publish my posts and not having the time to even write them. But, I have managed to work through these with only a mild amount cursing and foot stomping.

Then last week a little box appeared on my computer screen saying that my photo editing and management program was corrupt. I didn’t panic (at first). My computer is always throwing up little boxes with messages meant to throw me into a panic and with the help of the Hippygeek, we manage to sort them out and carry on.

After the “corrupt message”, another message appeared saying that it would try to “repair itself”. It then spent a few minutes thinking. After it finished thinking, it gave me another message saying that it “could not repair itself”. That’s it. It didn’t offer any suggestions as to how I might go about fixing the problem or even offer to fix me a cup of tea to soothe my woes. It just left me hanging. Even the Hippygeek is scratching his head on this one.

So, here I am with no access to my photos and no idea when I might be able to get the problem resolved as the Holidays tend to make everything and everyone unavailable. I also now have a backlog of fun stories waiting to be shared; Sedona, Biospere II, Kartchner Caverns, White Sands National Monument and Petroglyph National Monument.

So, while I am trying not to panic, I plan to enjoy the Holidays with my in-laws in Telluride Colorado, hope that my life doesn’t get too much more interesting and hopefully resume my posts as soon as I can.

Meanwhile, have a wonderful holiday!
